Hamersham has significant experience in the special project environment. Working in the special vehicle environment is commercially and technically demanding as prototype and serial one are usually the same machine. The prototype machine just has to work!! Here is a flavour of just some of the special machine functions for which we specific experience:

Diesel Engine Control

Control of larger diesel engines via CAN J1939 and the implementation of comprehensive error messaging. Smaller diesel engine control via the Bosch EGAS actuator.

Machine Height/Suspension Control

We clearly understand how to implement software algorithms that will drive your machine to an absolute height or level to gravity.

Electric Steering

Closed loop steering control that will deliver two wheel steer, 4 wheel steer, crab steer and complex steering limitation control.

Proportional Hydraulic Control

A good understanding of high resolution hydraulic control, together with time proven current drivers, allows Hamersham to implement a wide range of hydraulic functions including: Operating envelope limiting, automatic positioning, pressure control, machine load limiting and hydraulic power balancing.

Auxilliary Function Control

Having 4 x CAN gateways, the IQAN master controller series has the capacity to be the machine master controller. Hamersham has experience in controlling auxilliary functions such as compressors, cooling fans, relay banks, pneumatic valves and lighting systems.

Safety Critical Functions

Any function that is considered safety critical can now be implemented, architecture permitting, to EN13489-1 performance level "d" using the new IQAN MC3 controller.
